Almas

Location: Argentine 

Almas è un progetto a lungo termine che trae la sua origine dagli elementi del territorio stesso, dai residui di storia che esso reca impressi nei luoghi che ho avuto modo di visitare, e dalle persone ho incontrato lungo il cammino: tutte “anime”, appunto.

Durante il mio primo soggiorno in Argentina, ho appreso che si tratta di un paese con una storia e una cultura ricchissime, enormemente diversificate anche in relazione alle ampie distanze geografiche, e sono rimasta affascinata dal modo in cui queste storie e culture riescono ad esistere e coesistere all’interno di un’unica nazione, nonostante le spinte della globalizzazione.


L’intento del reportage è quello di restituire all’osservatore parte di questi elementi, attraverso una chiave visiva incentrata sulla vividezza dei colori e sull’autenticità della composizione.

Almas (which means "souls" in spanish) is a long-term project inspirated directly by the natural elements of the land, the historical traces impressed on the places I've seen, and by the people I've met during the path: "souls", indeed. During my staying in Argentine, for six months I've learned how historically and culturally rich is this country, deeply diversified also because of the physical distances that occur between the districts; the way in which these differences do live together, despite the globalization's pushes, really fascinated me, and it is the reason why I choose to realize this project.

The aim is to give back to the spectator part of these elements, through a vivid, authentic composition.
